The Made in Hawai'i Film Festival is the best festival we have been apart of and attended. We're always blown away by the caliber of the selections. If you want to understand the authentic culture of Hawai'i today, MIHFF is the place to do it.

As film makers themselves, the producers of the festival are committed to treating film makers with respect and aloha. They have a deep commitment to helping spotlight our local Hawaiian culture in historic island venues. This festival is a must for Hawaiian film makers and creators.

  • HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! Thank you for another AWESOME festival. This team clearly goes above and beyond to provide the best possible experience for filmmakers as well as audiences, whether they are live or virtual. We were honored to screen our short film "River Street," at MIHFF 2021, and hope to one day submit a feature! Thanks again, MIHFF team!!

The Made in Hawaii Film Festival is one of the best film festivals in the world. The variety and diversity of the films that play here is really beautiful. It has really opened up my eyes to many different talents and perspectives on the world a film. It has really helped to shape my career as a filmmaker here in Hawaii and brought me together with many other filmmakers who are now lifelong friends of mine. I owe a lot to this festival and I will do whatever I can to support it. I am so grateful for this festival and all who are involved.

The amount of support and good vibes MIHFF facilitates is astounding for our little filmmaker community here in Hawai'i. I've attended the past two festivals as a filmmaker and have had four short films shown throughout the years. I've laughed, cried, and been inspired by the creativity displayed every year.
