Preâmbulo
MICARzinha é uma secção da MICAR – Mostra Internacional de Cinema Anti-Racista, que se realiza de 22 a 25 de Outubro de 2026, na cidade do Porto.
A programação da MICARzinha integra filmes de todos os géneros (ficção, documentários, híbridos, animação e imagem real), que focam a temática do racismo, da imigração e das minorias étnicas. A Mostra é orientada para público escolar, dividindo-se em dois programas: +6 anos, para 1º e 2º ciclos, e +12 anos, para 3º ciclo e secundário.
O evento é promovido pelo SOS Racismo com apoio da Câmara Municipal do Porto e o Batalha Centro de Cinema e o suporte de diversos parceiros institucionais.
Durante os 3/4 dias do evento são exibidas obras cinematográficas que focam a temática do racismo, da imigração e das minorias étnicas; várias sessões são complementadas por um debate sobre o tema abordado, para os quais contamos com alguns convidados especiais.
Todos os filmes e eventos têm entrada gratuita.
Artigo 1 (Objetivo)
A MICARzinha tem como objetivo a exibição e debate de filmes que sensibilizam o público escolar e agentes educativos para a temática do racismo, imigração e minorias étnicas através de uma programação diversa e seleccionada para diferentes faixas etárias (+6 anos) e (+12 anos), integrada nos dias da MICAR - Mostra Internacional de Cinema Anti-Racista.
Através desta selecção de filmes, a MICARzinha propõe ao público uma reflexão crítica sobre o mundo, promovendo valores de diversidade, igualdade e justiça social, seja na sala de cinema ou nas suas atividades paralelas em contexto escolar.
Artigo 2 (Data)
A edição de 2026 da MICARzinha decorre no dia 23 de Outubro de 2026, no Batalha Centro de Cinema.
Artigo 3 (Candidaturas)
3.1. O programa da MICARzinha dividir-se-á entre duas categorias:
+6 anos
+12 anos
3.2 Para se candidatarem à categoria +6 anos, os filmes deverão cumprir um dos dois seguintes critérios:
Ser falado em língua Portuguesa;
Não ter diálogo;
Não serão aceites filmes falados em língua estrangeira legendados em Português.
3.3 O festival poderá selecionar filmes que não cumpram um ou mais destes critérios, ficando essa decisão ao critério da organização.
Artigo 4 (Legendagem)
4.1 Os filmes submetidos à categoria +12 anos devem incluir um screener legendado em inglês (caso a língua original não seja o português ou inglês);
4.2 Os filmes selecionados devem disponibilizar uma cópia de exibição sem legendas;
4.3 É obrigatória a entrega da lista de diálogos em inglês (com time codes), preferencialmente em formato .SRT, antes do envio da versão final do filme.
Artigo 5 (Prémios)
A MICARzinha é uma mostra de carácter não competitivo, não havendo lugar a atribuição de prémios
Artigo 6 (Submissões)
6.1 As candidaturas devem ser submetidas online através da plataforma FilmFreeway até 30 de Abril de 2026;
6.2 Apenas serão aceites screeners online;
6.3 Os links e passwords devem manter-se ativos até à data do festival;
6.4 Sempre que aplicável, deverá ser indicado se o filme se encontra em work-in-progress;
6.5 Em caso de seleção, deverão ser enviados os seguintes materiais:
– Imediatamente após a comunicação da seleção: lista de diálogos, fotografias do filme, fotografia do realizador/a, créditos, ficha técnica; autorização de exibição, trailer e/ou excertos;
– Até 1 de Outubro de 2026: cópia de exibição (preferencialmente sem legendas) em DCP, acompanhada das especificações técnicas.
Artigo 7 (Taxa de inscrição)
7.1 As candidaturas estão sujeitas às seguintes taxas:
– Prazo regular – 1 de Março a 30 de Abril de 2026: 15 €
Artigo 8 (Seleção)
8.1 A seleção oficial será anunciada até 22 de Setembro.
8.2 Após a aceitação da seleção, o filme não poderá ser retirado do programa.
8.3 Os filmes não selecionados serão notificados até à data do festival.
8.4 Em caso de seleção, a MICARzinha cobrirá os custos de direitos de exibição até um máximo de 75 € para curtas-metragens e 200 € para longas-metragens, de acordo com os valores normalmente praticados. Quaisquer custos que excedam estes montantes são da responsabilidade do detentor dos direitos.
Artigo 9 (Retenção dos filmes)
As cópias de exibição devem permanecer na posse do festival durante todo o período do evento, sendo devolvidas após o seu término ou, em casos autorizados, até um mês depois.
Artigo 10 (Aceitação)
A participação no festival implica a aceitação integral do presente regulamento.
Artigo 11 (Extensões)
11.1. Os filmes selecionados poderão integrar extensões da Mostra até doze meses após o evento. Caso os autores não autorizem essa inclusão, deverá ser enviado um email à organização até à data de início da MICAR.
11.2. Os filmes selecionados poderão ser exibidos em contexto privado, em escolas seleccionadas, para trabalho da temáticas inerentes ao trabalho da SOS Racismo, até doze meses após o evento. Caso os autores não autorizem essa inclusão, deverá ser enviado um email à organização até à data de início da MICAR.
Artigo 12 (Disposições gerais)
Todas as decisões da direção do festival são finais. A direção do MICAR resolverá quaisquer situações omissas neste regulamento.

RULES AND REGULATIONS
Preamble
MICARzinha is a section of MICAR – Mostra Internacional de Cinema Anti-Racista (International Anti-Racist Film Festival), taking place from 22nd to 25th of October 2026, in the city of Porto.
The MICARzinha programme includes films of all genres (fiction, documentaries, hybrid, animation and live action), focusing on the themes of racism, immigration and ethnic minorities. The Festival is aimed at school audiences and is divided into two programmes: +6 years, for primary school (years 1–6), and +12 years, for lower and upper secondary school.
The event is promoted by SOS Racismo with the support of Porto City Council, Batalha Centro de Cinema, and various institutional partners.
Over the 3/4 days of the event, films focusing on the themes of racism, immigration and ethnic minorities are screened; several sessions are complemented by a discussion on the topic addressed, for which we welcome a number of special guests.
All films and events are free of charge.
Article 1 (Objective)
MICARzinha aims to screen and discuss films that raise awareness among school audiences and educators on the themes of racism, immigration and ethnic minorities, through a diverse programme selected for different age groups (+6 years and +12 years), integrated into the days of MICAR – Mostra Internacional de Cinema Anti-Racista.
Through this selection of films, MICARzinha invites audiences to reflect critically on the world, promoting values of diversity, equality and social justice, both in the cinema and through parallel activities in school settings.
Article 2 (Dates)
The 2026 edition of MICARzinha takes place on 23th October 2026, at Batalha Centro de Cinema.
Article 3 (Applications)
3.1. The MICARzinha programme will be divided into two categories:
+6 years
+12 years
3.2. To apply to the +6 years category, films must meet one of the following two criteria:
Be spoken in Portuguese;
Contain no dialogue.
Films in a foreign language with Portuguese subtitles will not be accepted.
3.3. The festival may select films that do not meet one or more of these criteria, at the discretion of the organisation.
Article 4 (Subtitling)
4.1. Films submitted to the +12 years category must include a screener with English subtitles (if the original language is neither Portuguese nor English);
4.2. Selected films must provide an exhibition copy without subtitles;
4.3. A dialogue list in English (with timecodes), preferably in .SRT format, must be submitted before the final print is delivered.
Article 5 (Awards)
MICARzinha is a non-competitive festival; with no awards being given.
Article 6 (Submissions)
6.1. Applications must be submitted online via the FilmFreeway platform by 27 April 2026;
6.2. Only online screeners will be accepted;
6.3. Links and passwords must remain active until the date of the festival;
6.4. Where applicable, it must be indicated whether the film is a work in progress;
6.5. If selected, the following materials must be provided: — Immediately upon notification of selection: dialogue list, film stills, director's photograph, credits, technical sheet, screening authorisation, trailer and/or excerpts; — By 1 October 2026: exhibition print (preferably without subtitles) in DCP, accompanied by technical specifications.
Article 7 (Entry Fee)
7.1. Applications are subject to the following fees: — Regular deadline – 1 March to 30 April 2026: €15
Article 8 (Selection)
8.1. The official selection will be announced by 22 September.
8.2. Once a selection has been accepted, the film may not be withdrawn from the programme.
8.3. Films not selected will be notified by the date of the festival.
8.4. In the event of selection, MICARzinha will cover screening rights fees up to a maximum of €75 for short films and €150 for feature films, in accordance with the standard rates applicable. Any costs exceeding these amounts remain the responsibility of the rights holder.
Article 9 (Retention of Prints)
Exhibition prints must remain in the festival's possession throughout the event and will be returned after its conclusion or, in authorised cases, within one month thereafter.
Article 10 (Acceptance)
Participation in the festival implies full acceptance of these rules and regulations.
Article 11 (Extensions)
11.1. Selected films may be included in festival extensions for up to twelve months after the event. If the filmmakers do not authorise such inclusion, they must notify the organisation by email before the start of MICAR.
11.2. Selected films may be screened in private settings, in selected schools, in connection with the themes central to SOS Racismo's work, for up to twelve months after the event. If the filmmakers do not authorise such inclusion, they must notify the organisation by email before the start of MICAR.
Article 12 (General Provisions)
All decisions made by the festival's board are final. The MICAR board will resolve any matters not covered by these regulations.
