The 4th MEGA International Creative Media Festival is initiated by Academy of Film and Creative Technology, Xi’an Jiaotong-Liverpool University, and will be held from May 10 to 16 in Suzhou, Jiangsu Province, China. The 4th MEGA International Creative Media Festival, which will be held under the theme of "Harmony" .

The MEGA International Creative Media Festival is an annual international event organized by the Academy of Film and Creative Technology at Xi’an Jiaotong Liverpool University. MEGA is an integrated Media, Exhibition, Graphics, and Art concept.

MEGA International Creative Media Festival aims to promote film, television and creative media communication and provide a platform for sharing between academia and industry. The MEGA International Creative Media Festival focuses on the diverse forms of creative media communication. It carries out activities combining different arrangements and exhibitions of digital media arts, including the “International Creative Media Competition”, “Film, New Media and Creative Technology Summit”, and guests’ sharing, inviting scholars, experts, and students to join together to explore the trends in film, television, and new media arts, and enhance communications between students and relevant industry professionals.

The 4th MEGA will be held in Suzhou. From the Tang, Song, Yuan, Ming, and Qing Dynasties to modern China, Suzhou has been one of the regions with a high degree of openness and solid economic vitality, carrying the thick cultural heritage of Jiangnan. "All living things grow together without harming each other, and paths run in parallel without contradicting each other," i.e., respect for individuality, openness, tolerance, and harmony, which is precisely the consistent spiritual core of the Jiangnan cultural lineage, and the core appeal of the MEGA International Creative Media Festival.

Short Film Section - This category includes all genres of fiction and non-fiction with a maximun of 30 minutes running time.

Best Creativity
Entries of all types have chances to win the Best Creative award.

2) Professional Section
Professional section includes all film types with a maximum of 30 minutes running time. The theme of submitting works is Jiangnan culture. The other themes of works are welcome.

Winners will be given the opportunity to showcase their production online or onsite, and more promotions.

Rules & Regulation:

1) Student Section

Short Film
• The film should be completed after January 1, 2022.
• The film should have a total running time under 30 minutes.
• The submission format should be MP4 or MOV.
• There are no restrictions on film genres (experimental, narrative, documentary, animation, music video, TV show, science fiction, VR and so on are all accepted). Any submitted film that has been shown or has the plan to be shown in cinemas or online platforms in China's Mainland should be accompanied by a list of release platforms.
• All submissions should be subtitled in English. (Expect for the films without dialogue).

Art Installations
• There are no restrictions on type or style.
• The art installation should be completed after January 1, 2022.
• There are no restrictions on the materials used for the art installation. It is encouraged to make art installations that are environmental friendly, convenient for disassembly and transportation, and suitable for long-term exhibition.

Games
• There are no restrictions on type, style, and platforms.
• The game should be completed after January 1, 2022.
• A completed executable file should be uploaded.

2) Professional Section

Theme: Jiangnan Culture

This section is for film and television works related to Jiangnan culture.
• The film or TV shows should be completed after January 1, 2022.
• The film or TV shows should have a total running time under 30 minutes.
• The submission format should be MP4 or MOV.
• There are no restrictions on film genres (experimental, narrative, documentary, animation, music video, TV show, science fiction, VR and so on are all accepted). Extra explanation should be attached if your film has been shown or have the plan to be shown in cinemas or online platforms in China's Mainland.
• All submissions should be subtitled in English. (Expect for the films without dialogue).
