Since 1994, photography has been Mara Rago’s life. She makes a living creating portraits, corporate, model portfolios, events and legal investigative photography.

Specializing in fine art nudes and fine art macro florals, Mara has had 27 art exhibitions, chosen 5 times for the Three Rivers Arts Festival Juried Exhibits and was endorsed by the Westmoreland PA Cultural Trust. Her work has been recognized nationally, internationally and published in numerous calendars and publications. She is currently a staff photographer for QBurgh.com

Mara just completed her first film documentary titled “Carla”. Carla is a magnetic & profound middle age trans woman who lived a very eccentric life as Carl Beck Jr., a musician/lead singer of a rock band before her transition. Carla speaks with passion in this truth of her exciting journey.
