Independent filmmaker, writer, lyricist and storyteller blending feminist sci-fi, mythology, surrealism and social narratives, exploring themes for freedom, isolation and human resilience.
I am an independent filmmaker, scriptwriter, and storyteller from Kolkata, India. With a background in law and literature, I have always been drawn to stories that explore the intersections of gender, mythology, and futuristic imagination. My works often highlight the struggles of marginalized voices, women’s empowerment, and society’s deep-rooted hypocrisies.
My debut film Lost World 2020, created during the COVID-19 lockdown, delves into the themes of isolation, identity, and freedom, blending surrealism with emotional depth. Despite limited resources, me independently crafted this project with passion and vision.
I believe that cinema is not just entertainment — it’s a mirror of society and a tool for transformation. Through my films, my aims to inspire discussions around change, resilience, and hope.

1. The film was entirely shot during the 2020 lockdown, with limited crew and resources.
2. Most of the scenes were filmed in actual forests in West Bengal, India, with minimal artificial lighting.
3. Every character in the film symbolizes a different aspect of human identity crisis.
4. During the COVID-19 lockdown, when countless deaths were happening and unclaimed bodies
were sent to crematoriums, the filmmaker felt as if death itself was knocking at the door - lonely, just
like everyone else. This haunting thought became the seed of the film's concept.
Cinema is not just a story- It is mirror of society, the reflection of hidden secrets, and the echo of forgotten voices and unseen souls.
