Lyria Garcia, a Brazilian American filmmaker, embarked on her journey to the United States in 1996 at the age of 22. In 2014, she earned a Bachelor of Arts degree with a specialization in Film Production and has since dedicated her professional life to the world of arts.
Wearing multiple hats, Lyria serves as the writer, director, and producer of "Waysland," an acclaimed short film she envisions expanding into a feature. Her directorial debut has earned awards in prominent locations such as New York, Los Angeles, and Canada. Beyond her role in the film industry. Lyria is currently in the festival circuit promoting her short film; Peter's Plan, the short won Best Young Actor at the Cobb International Film Festival in Marietta-GA. She is a seasoned full-time photographer, having undertaken assignments in Dubai, South Africa, Iceland, and various locations in the United States.
