Lynsey Dyer is a professional athlete, artist and environmentalist. Dyer hosts television and podcast shows, produces films, and is the co-founder of SheJumps.org, the 501C3 committed to increasing the participation of women and girls in the outdoors. As an athlete Dyer's won every big mountain competition she’s entered, has skied in 17 films from Warren Miller to TGR to Sherpas Cinema. She has been named athlete of the year several times by Powder Magazine and was the first female on the cover of Freeskier Magazine. As an artist, Lynsey is best known for designing the iconic “Girafficorn” the symbol representing fun in the outdoors that you’ll see on many a tailgate at trailheads across the nation. When no one would listen to for hard charging women’s products she designed her own. From skis to jackets to inspirational posters Dyers commitment to helping women and girls feel welcome in the outdoors has been a driving force. Recognizing that 40% of skiers are female yet only 13% are represented in ski films lynsey started a production company, Unicorn Picnic, and then crowd sourced 113k for the first female action sports film, Pretty Faces. The film won many awards, sold out 100 grass roots shows, raised funds supporting female outdoor programming. (It is available on ITunes). As a photographer, Lynsey’s iconic shot of four base jumpers illegally leaping from the top of HalfDome in Yosemite (including the late Deane Potter) has been used by Nation Geographic around the world. Dyer speaks at events, offers an annual “unicorn” camp including the breathwork technique that has aided her success and produces films through UnicornPicnic.com Lynsey’s Sponsors include: GoPro, EddieBauer, Gordini Gloves, and Fischer Skis.
