Lyana Peck has a master's degree in Contemporary Arts Studies (PPGCA - UFF). Graduated in Social Communication, Radio and TV qualification, Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ). Acts as editor and director in projects for television, advertising and documentaries. She is currently a PhD student in Communication Technologies and Aesthetics (PPGCOM) at UFRJ. He lives in the city of Rio de Janeiro.
As an editor, she worked at Multishow, Globosat and TV Brasil, as well as independent producers such as Hungry Man, Urca Filmes, Producing Partners, Pindorama Filmes, Conspiracy, Zola and Giros. She was editor of the programs Tira Onda, De Cara Limpa, Estúdio Móvel, Muito Giro, Ed Mort, Agglomerate, Mirror, Brazilian House, Dreamers, Brazilian Art, Gentalha, Morar Mundo, Words in Series, Viver do Riso, among others.
She directed the Um Chope Com program for the Multishow channel website, as well as Tira Onda, also for Multishow, and the GNT channel summer project, in addition to seven short fiction, documentary and video art films.
As a videomaker, she has done projects for Multishow, Hungry Man, Downtown Filmes, Glaz, Migdal Filmes and Camisa Listrada.
As an artist, she works in video art and video dance, as well as photography, installation and video projection. Conducts research on rhythm, atmosphere, light and immersion. She was a guest teacher in the Video Art course at the School of Visual Arts at Parque Lage (RJ) in 2013 and 2014. She collaborates with artists such as Analu Cunha, Zoè Gruni, Flavio Colker, Christiane da Cunha and Anani Sanouvi. In 2018 he held his first solo exhibition, the film-installation "This Something That Happens", at the Municipal Art Center Hélio Oiticica, in Rio de Janeiro.
She is the managing partner of the production company Alambique Filmes, where she directs, writes and edits the making ofs, promos and trailers for national films. In 2018 the television program "Palavras em Série" (GNT), in which he signs the full editing of his five episodes, was nominated for an International Emmy in the art program category.
In 2019, she was selected to participate in the Grand Taller de Realización with Canadian filmmaker Peter Mettler at Escuela Internacional de Cine y Televisión (EICTV), in San Antonio de los Baños, Cuba.
