Luiz Henrique was born near Serra da Canastra (Brazil), surrounded by the legends his grandmother shared and the horror movies he rented with his mother on weekends. As a teenager, he discovered his passion for the fantastic genre and cinema, and since then, he’s been searching for his own Jack Nicholson to create his version of The Shining.

Originally set on becoming an engineer, he left the course and decided to follow his heart. He graduated in Scenic Production from UFPR, where he spent much of his time writing stories. He won the Screenplay Festival in Curitiba (FRIACA) with the feature-length script Por Enquanto, a drama and horror story for an adult audience, where he was co-writer. Inspired by his grandmother’s tales and Lovecraft’s stories, Luiz is directing and co-wrote the short film A Modelo.

Luiz is passionate about writing for young adult and adult audiences, exploring psychological horror through his characters' internal and external traumas, with fantastic elements that reflect Brazilian folklore.
