Rules
- IF YOU DONT FOLLOW THE RULES BELOW WE WILL NOT CONSIDER YOUR FILM
- IMPORTANT: Before your film starts, include a short clip of you talking to the camera (say your name, favorite ice cream, doesn’t matter) and showing some form of ID to confirm that you are 18 or younger. Also include proof or a brief explanation showing that at least one member of your team is a girl.
- Only one submission per person!!! If I see a face or a name twice neither film will be considered.
- Theme is horror. Free expression of horror. If you want to go the physiological route, go for it. If you think capitalism is the scariest thing out there, sure. Just make it convincing.
- You have to be in high school or from ages 13-18.
- All official team members have to be in that age bracket. You can enlist other ages to be involved in your movie as long as it’s clear you did most the work and didn’t hire a bunch of 40 year olds from your mom’s theatre group. Like if you want to include your grandma. That’s cute. I’m not gonna penalize you for putting your grandma in there.
- You have to have at least one girl in your team (I’m trying to get more ladies in horror!)
- Film has to be less than ten minutes long including credits!
- Submit your film by March 30th 2027
- All films must include subtitles
- Your film can be in a different language but please provide subtitles in English.
- You must own all the rights to your film. This means you created it and didn't copy someone else's work
- Make sure you have permission for all music, sound effects, and visuals used in your movie.
- By sending us your film, you give us the green light to screen it at our festival.
