Luana Marcelina Mendes was born in Contagem, Brazil, in 1996. She studied Cinema and Audiovisual at the Pontifical Catholic University of Minas Gerais, currently lives in Buenos Aires, Argentina, and is dedicated to her production company “Yprokita” together with her university colleague who lives in North Bay, Canada. The film festival selections in which she has participated are “The BeBop Channel Web Series and Under Two Festival” with the short film “Alicia” as producer and art director, twice “The Lift-Off Sessions” and “First -Time Filmmaker Sessions”, with the same short film and video clip “Shell” as director, photography direction and editing, in addition to the photography festivals “Sapixel International Photo Contest 2021”, “Isabella Prize” and “IPSMF”.
