The Love Is Film Festival is a multi-screen pop-up film festival exploring the universal and complex theme of love. Based in Wales/Cymru, this festival will deliver a full programme of films from around the world including feature films, short films, workshops, networking and entertainment exploring every aspect of emotional attachment.
We feature classics and world cinema as well as a local focus, giving the audience an experience of established and well known films alongside short film spotlights and supporting emerging talent reaching a wide-ranging audience.
When you get under the skin of it, films about love are not all love hearts and roses. The top romantic films of all time are often about something more than the traditional idea of a perfect relationship. Love shows itself in different ways, in obsession, in longing, in community, in places. We'll explore every aspect of the theme, crossing genres and borders.
The festival is hosted by Urban HQ, a multi-space venue in the heart of Swansea's Creative Quarter.
This pop-up festival event is funded by Ffilm Cymru through the Film Exhibitors Fund.
