The Los Angeles Short Film Grant is an annual grant created in conjunction with the Panavision New Filmmaker Program to support visionary short filmmakers with a package of resources enabling them to realize their amazing short films. Package includes:

Panavision Camera Package (up to $60K)
$13, 500 worth of Post Production Services from LightIron
$2,000 Cash Production Grant
Grip/Lighting Package (as available)
Production Insurance
Production Services/Consulting Provided by FA
FA 501 (c) 3 status for donations/permitting
Film shown at VisionFest 2024
Free admission to the FA Short Film Writing Lab (optional)

APPLICATION SUBMISSION MATERIALS:

Statement of interest describing themes of the film, why this film is important, why you should receive this grant, etc. (500 word max)

ELIGIBILITY:
Must be 18 years of age or older.
Must be able to write & speak in English.
Projects must be a maximum of 15 minutes in length.
Projects must be shot in Los Angeles.
Must be eligible and available to participate in the promotional activities.
Must be able to attend VisionFest 2024 in Los Angeles.
Writer/Director teams may submit, but all members of the team must meet all submission criteria.
