I can live without being a success, but I couldn't live without trying.
I have been restless since birth: precocious in speaking and the son of an artist, I decide very early that I would take the stage myself.
At 16 years old, I moved to live with my grandparents and after finishing high school, I ran away to Milan to study theater, mime, and commedia dell’arte at the Teatro Arsenale school. Finally, I was first in my class.
After 3 years, I graduated and migrated to the United States to fulfill the American dream. After working as a carpenter in Louisiana for the duration of my tourist visa, I realized it was not for me, and I returned to Italy and moved to Rome, where I won a scholarship at the Acting, Singing, and Dubbing Academy presided over by Pino Insegno.
In 2010, I graduated and put together a comedic vocal group with some classmates: I-Kea! I wrote and directed the sketches and pieces with which we toured the stages of Italy for a few years until, after an appearance on X Factor, like in the best bands... we split up!
Fueled by a childhood desire, I began to approach magic and within a couple of years, I put together a family magic show that I still perform today.
My love for music and a broken heart led me to buy my first guitar and learn to strum (which turned out to be very useful in quarantine).
Summer 2010: I was among the artists who peacefully occupied the Teatro Valle in Rome, preventing it from becoming a bistro by sleeping on the floor in the dressing rooms. Then I brought a mattress from home.
To make a living, I began teaching theater to preschool children and discovered that I was very good at it. I continued to act in theater and film and perform magic.
In 2014, the film "La Trattativa" was released in Venice, where, as a good Tuscan, I played the young Vito Ciancimino, a Palermitan mobster.
"Being the only Tuscan on a set of only Sicilians was both beautiful and difficult at the same time, but I have a beautiful memory of that period."
In the summer of 2018, I was an animator and speaker at a prestigious resort in Sardinia when I was approached by a scout who suggested that I try RDS Academy: the talent show for radio speakers of RDS 100% Grandi Successi. I sent in my audition and they called me. I entered the radio talent show, climbed the rankings, and, just as Charlie Chaplin did when he participated in a contest to be a Charlie Chaplin impersonator, I came in second!
They called me to work at radio Dimensione Suono Soft right away and I became a radio speaker for real, going on the air for the first time on April 25, 2019.
Lockdown 2020
During the 2020 lockdown, I went out on my balcony every day for 60 days, singing and playing for 20 minutes for the ladies and girls who looked out (one of them later became my girlfriend).
In my free time during the lockdown, I recorded the entire audiobook of Pinocchio, edited it, added music, and uploaded it for free on YouTube to give my "gnometti," the children I taught theater to in preschool, a bedtime story while they were closed due to Covid.
Meanwhile, I continued working in radio, but after almost 2 years, when my contract expired, I embarked on an adventure: a solo bike trip around Sicily with a tent. Three days before completing the trip (which lasted 1 month and more than 1000km) I found a meowing kitten on the side of the highway, picked it up, named it "Sicily," and brought it with me back to Rome.
On my birthday in 2021, my song Tanto Domani Si Muore was released, which I wrote 5 years ago when my best friend decided to leave his life in the middle. During the second lockdown, I opened my own web radio station (Radio Picche) and broadcasted from there for 30 consecutive Sundays. Meanwhile, I reinvented myself as a gardener and manual laborer to earn some money.
On December 19, 2021, I had the honor of being the magician at Pope Francis' birthday.
Also in 2021/2022, I played basketball on an open team in Rome, and in August 2022, I started a new personal challenge: the "30 days busking challenge" where, to win shyness and fear of judgment from others, I started playing on the street in Rome. In November 2022, I participated as a director in the 48-hour film project, writing and directing a musical short film called "Black Sabbato". I don't know how I managed to convince 35 people to follow me in my directorial debut in a festival that required writing, filming and editing a short in 48 hours. Not only did we succeed, but the day of the shoot was one of the best days of my life.
