Lorenzo Baldi (Rome,1993) devoted himself to photography and filmmaking since young age.

After graduating in philosophy at La Sapienza University of Rome, he studied filmmaking at the New York Film Academy and in Rome.

Lorenzo currently works in film and communication. He has directed and worked in many documentary and fiction short films since 2019. In 2025 he directed his first feature documentary.

He believes that human beings mask themself to become what they lack, what they wish to be. Then cinema is the art of rediscover the dignity of human desire, through careful attention to social reality as a performance. Everything and averyone can be the charachter of the story of desire.

Lorenzo Baldi (Roma,1993) si dedica fin dalla giovane età alla fotografia e al cinema.

Dopo la laurea in filosofia all'Università La Sapienza di Roma, ha studiato cinema alla New York Film Academy e a Roma.

Lorenzo attualmente lavora nel cinema e nella comunicazione. Dal 2019 ha diretto e lavorato in numerosi cortometraggi documentari e di finzione. Nel 2025 ha diretto il suo primo lungometraggio documentario.

Crede che gli esseri umani si mascherino per diventare ciò che gli manca, ciò che desiderano essere. Il cinema è allora l'arte di riscoprire la dignità del desiderio umano, attraverso un'attenta attenzione alla realtà sociale come performance. Tutto e tutti possono essere protagonisti della storia del desiderio.
