Loren is an emerging director alongside her 9 years of experience as an editor in the film industry. Her critically acclaimed directorial debut My Dying Place was described as “a perfectly calibrated documentary portrait” by Dan Slevin of RNZ. It also won the People’s Choice Award at Show Me Shorts 2024 Film Festival. Gloria is her second documentary as a director. She has spent the majority of her career editing documentaries whilst shining a light on marginalised people, communities, social issues and constructs. Loren has a deep desire to mention the unmentionable and befriend the elephant in every room. She has some kind of magnet pulling her toward interesting characters, and has a warm and sensitive approach towards telling their unique stories.
