An original daughter of the soil, Lipi belongs to the first brigade of female Photographers from Assam who captured so many international events. Her passion to capture the Dance, Music and Emotional fabric of human relationships and put that into film, took her to several destinations all over the world as a Photographer and Filmmaker.
She always felt her responsibilities towards the society, she lives in and is always keen to work for its betterment. The day to day life of people around her and their stories inspired her to make movies. She believes this is a way to open a door, to the rest of the world, just to peek into the simple lives of her world. She started her filmmaking career as an assistant director for TV mini series “Rasraj" ki rass bhari kathayei” for Arun Prabha.
“DRISTIKONE” is her Debut Film. It is her self Produced Assamese short film. Which gives a message about a budding social issue in INDIA.
