The Liminul New Media Film Festival is a celebration of the intersection between media, art, and technology, and the latest iteration of our creative vision.
Founded in Montreal in 2017, Liminul has been at the forefront of Canada's media landscape, pushing boundaries and rousing the imagination with our unique blend of fashion, photography, art, music, politics, and literature. With this festival, we aim to showcase the latest trends and cutting-edge works by some of the most exciting new voices in experimental film and media.
Our festival will feature a diverse array of films showcasing works that explore the abstract and the fringe and challenge the traditional notions of filmmaking. We are especially proud to highlight the contributions of Montreal and Toronto-based artists, whose creativity and innovation continue to inspire and shape our media landscape.
Join us as we celebrate the frontiers of art and technology and the bold, boundary-pushing vision of Canadian new media artists. Whether you're a seasoned cinephile or simply curious about the latest trends in new media, this festival promises to provide a platform for emerging and established artists alike to share their stories and showcase their talents.
We look forward to welcoming you to the Liminul New Media Film Festival and to sharing our passion for experimentation and creativity with you.
As a purveyor of the arts and culture, Liminul Media is committed to providing emerging and established artists with a platform to showcase their work to a wider audience. We believe that the creative expression of filmmakers is an essential element of the human experience and should be celebrated as such. Therefore, we have taken it upon ourselves to offer an opportunity to filmmakers to gain recognition and establish themselves as leaders in the film industry.
We understand that gaining recognition in the film industry can be a daunting task for many artists. That is why we have devised a program that rewards winners with published interviews and feature articles on our website and social media channels. These features offer a rare opportunity for artists to showcase their work, discuss their creative processes, and share their perspectives with our vast audience.
Our platform offers a unique opportunity for emerging and established artists alike to be recognized and establish their foothold in the industry. Our commitment to providing artists with a platform to showcase their work is unmatched. We believe that by supporting emerging artists, we can help shape the future of cinema and encourage the growth of a vibrant and diverse film industry.
