SUBMISSION & REQUIREMENTS
- Lima Web Fest 2026 accepts national and international web series in fiction, documentary, and animation, as well as animated audiovisual productions (Anime, 2D and 3D), video games, short films, podcasts, photographic series, and transmedia projects both completed and in development.
- Submissions are free of charge and must be completed online through:

Submission period: from May 28 to August 20, 2026.
- Projects must have been produced or published between January 1, 2025 and August 15, 2026, must be available on digital platforms or via private link, and must have all copyrights properly cleared.
- The producer or legal representative holding the rights to the project must confirm participation before August 20, 2026 by completing the submission form for each project entered.
- The submission form constitutes a sworn statement confirming that the producer or representative legally owns the rights to the submitted work and accepts these rules and regulations.
- Producers, creators, and all parties involved in audiovisual productions, video games, photography, animations, or any selected content authorize the festival to promote their participation through the official website, social media, and all promotional channels related to the festival.
OFFICIAL FESTIVAL CATEGORIES
- LWF includes an Official Competition and an Online Audience Award.
Web series, animations, video games, content creators, photography projects, visual narratives, and related works will be assigned to sections at the discretion of the selection committee, which reserves all decision-making rights.
- Selected productions, animations, video games, and other projects may be published on official festival channels between August and October 2026 during the Lima Web Fest 2026 period.
Both the Jury and the audience may cast votes during the publication period of the competing web series and other eligible categories.
OFFICIAL SECTIONS
I. WEB SERIES. Serialized narrative works created for digital platforms or streaming.
II. EXPANDED NARRATIVES. Projects exploring new forms of digital storytelling through multiple platforms and emerging formats.
III. DIGITAL CONTENT CREATORS. Creators producing original content for social platforms and digital ecosystems.
IV. NEW VOICES. A space dedicated to students and emerging creators.
PRESENTATION FORMAT
Only one project per production company and/or rights holder may be submitted.
Participation in the competition implies full acceptance of these rules, terms and conditions, and the authority of the festival organizers.
PROJECT REQUIREMENTS
- WEB SERIES
The producer or legal representative must submit one link per selected episode.
Maximum duration: 20 minutes per episode.
Projects exceeding this duration may be rejected at the discretion of the selection committee.
Episodes should preferably be in Spanish or English (or include automatic subtitle options).

- COMPLETED & IN-DEVELOPMENT TRANSMEDIA PROJECTS
Completed transmedia projects created between January 2025 and August 1, 2026 may apply.
Only original projects created by local Peruvian creators are eligible.
Projects must include at least 3 developed platforms aligned with the project’s narrative core and containing produced content.
Projects must include a QR code linking to the transmedia universe.
Projects must be uploaded to Lima Web Fest Official Website with active QR/link access.
Projects in development (pre-production stage) may also apply if created between January and August 1, 2026.
Only original projects by local Peruvian creators are eligible.
In-development projects must submit a video pitch of up to 7 minutes.
- PODCAST
Podcasts published between January 2025 and August 1, 2026 are eligible.
Only original productions by local Peruvian creators may participate.
Podcasts must demonstrate strong narrative structure.
Sound design and audio mixing quality will be evaluated.

- PHOTOGRAPHIC PROJECT
This category recognizes photographic projects exploring new forms of visual storytelling in digital ecosystems through narrative, visual identity, and contemporary culture on online platforms.
Projects should explore how new generations build identity, memory, community, and communication within spaces shaped by technology, the internet, and digital platforms.
Eligible participants:
Emerging authors from Peru developing visual projects conceived for contemporary digital platforms and environments.
Accepted themes include:
Digital identity
Internet culture
Online communities
Urban life and screens
Portraiture
Digital memory
New communication forms
Documentary or experimental projects
Visual storytelling for digital platforms

This category awards short films of any genre exploring new forms of audiovisual storytelling.
Eligible participants:
Students from universities, institutes, and higher education institutions in Peru related to audiovisual or similar fields.
Requirements:
Indigenous languages (Quechua, Aymara, Shipibo, etc.) must include Spanish subtitles or automatic subtitles.
No submissions without subtitles will be accepted.
Submissions must be completed through the official form only.

This category promotes visual creativity and photographic storytelling among high school students through digital environments.

Projects should authentically portray how technology, the internet, and digital platforms shape everyday youth experiences.
Eligible participants:
4th and 5th year high school students from national and international schools.
Accepted themes:

- VIDEOMINUTE
This category rewards short audiovisual works capable of telling a story, conveying an idea, or generating a narrative experience in vertical or horizontal format with maximum impact.
Eligible participants:
High school students in 4th and 5th year from Peru.
Themes are open, though special consideration will be given to:
Culture
Internet and technology
Community
Creativity
Requirements:
Indigenous languages must include Spanish subtitles or automatic subtitles.
Maximum duration: 1 minute including credits.
Format: MP4
Hosted on YouTube, Instagram, or another open-access platform.
Private accounts must provide access credentials.
Once submitted, projects cannot be withdrawn.
- Producers and distributors participating in the festival must include the “Official Selection” recognition and the Lima Web Fest logo in all promotional and press materials.
Award-winning projects must also include the festival logo in all publicity and press materials.
- The festival may use submitted materials, data, and excerpts from competing works for promotional and cultural dissemination purposes for up to one year from the submission date.
Only materials requested through the official festival website will be accepted.
Accepted hosting platforms include YouTube, Vimeo, and other open-access video platforms. Private links must include passwords or access codes.
SELECTION PROCESS
Projects will be evaluated in three stages:
Technical review of materials
Curatorial committee evaluation
National and international jury deliberation
JURY
The jury will consist of national and international professionals from audiovisual media, digital platforms, photography, video games, storytelling, and creative industries.
The jury will evaluate each project and select the winners based on evaluation criteria and average scoring.
The jury’s decisions are final and non-appealable.
The jury reserves the right to:
Interpret these regulations
Resolve unforeseen issues
Declare winners
Declare categories void if quality standards are not met
Expand or modify categories according to submitted works
ONLINE VOTING
LWF 2026 will include two Audience Awards for the most-voted projects in the Online Voting and Digital Content Creator categories through Lima Web Fest Official Website
Audience voting is based on popularity only and does not influence jury decisions.
Any member of the public may vote online for their favorite project.
Voting closes 7 days before the awards ceremony.
The three finalists and most-voted projects will be published on the festival website and platforms.
The finalists will also be presented during the Lima Web Fest 2026 Awards Ceremony, where the Audience Award winner will be announced.
The organization reserves the right to disqualify projects in case of suspicious activity, including hacking attempts or vote manipulation.
IMAGE RIGHTS & INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY
The organization:
Assumes all submitted projects are original works complying with intellectual property laws.
Assumes producers have authorization from production companies or intellectual property holders.
Reserves the right to automatically disqualify projects involved in copyright disputes.
Assumes participants authorize publication of competing projects on promotional platforms and the festival website.
Is not responsible for inaccurate information provided by participants.
Participants declare ownership of the submitted works and authorize the festival to use excerpts, images, and promotional materials for cultural and promotional purposes.
FINAL PROVISIONS
The organization reserves the right to resolve any situation not covered in these regulations.
Submitting a project implies full acceptance of all festival decisions.
