Lily Malm is a Swedish-born, LA-based writer-producer, AFI Screenwriting Fellow and Sweden-America Foundation scholar. Her work ranges from social issue dramas and Neo-noirs to dramedies with a focus on the nuances of the female and queer experience. Her one-hour pilot “Jean and the Twelve Apostles” is currently in the festival circuit. Her feature spec “Scent of Marigold”, co-written by Laila Matuk, was selected as an American Zoetrope finalist by Francis Ford Coppola, made it into PAGE Awards, Atlanta Film Festival, ScreenCraft, Launch Pad, San Francisco International Film Festival, Final Draft’s Big Break, Josephson Entertainment Fellowship, among others, won for Best Drama at Big Apple Film Festival and became a finalist in the Austin Film Festival, earning her an “Alien with Extraordinary Abilities” O-1 visa.
