Lily Malm is a Los Angeles-based drama and comedy writer raised by a social worker in Gothenburg, Sweden. She has previously worked for the Swedish Red Cross and Individuell Människohjälp, a non-profit organization for asylum seekers in and out of detention. Furthermore, Lily is an LGBTQ+ rights activist and came out as a lesbian through her first short film, Incognito, for which she won in two categories at the national film festival Novemberfestivalen in Sweden. She is a recipient of Diverse Women in Media Forum’s Emerging Content Creators Scholarship, as well as New York Film Academy’s Talent-Based Scholarship from where she graduated summa cum laude with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in screenwriting in April of 2023.
