Lily Kaplan is a New York born writer-director. Her work explores adolescence, identity and societal norms through genre-bending storytelling that blends horror, comedy and drama. Across her projects she gravitates towards depicting flawed characters whose desires expose realities about growing up and societal expectations on women.
A graduate of Northwestern University, Lily has directed and collaborated on dozens of shorts, including "Nein Friends" and "Wisdom Teeth", which was a finalist for the BAFTA-qualifying Flickers’ RIIF Festival. She is also the co-founder of Cherubs Productions, a femme-led production company committed to genre-bending film, theater and live events.
