Lewis William Robinson is an award-winning filmmaker from Harrogate, North Yorkshire. He studied at Ashville College and attended the MetFilm School at Ealing Studios, London, where he graduated. Film and television have been a passion of his from a young age.
In 2017, he made his graduate short film, titled Forgotten, which explores the relationships with Alzheimer's disease, raising awareness of its effects. The film qualified for the BAFTA Awards.
A year later, he followed up with, Addiction, a short film that focuses heavily on drug abuse and its effects on families. It was a story mixed with different perspectives he has witnessed in the past and present. It brought new challenges to face, bringing back some cast and crew from his first film to his home town, in the North, a different territory to London where they collaborated again and filmed in Yorkshire. It had the premiere at the Home Cinema in Manchester, with a successful festival run.
His third short film, Big Stack, was shot during the third COVID-19 pandemic lockdown, following strict safety protocols to ensure everyone worked in a safe environment. They were able to accomplish this with zero infections.
