Lethabo has had the privilege of screening her film at the acclaimed Oprah Winfrey- Sponsored and Sonny Micheaux Film Festival, winning second place for Best Student Film at the Loeries Awards Africa and the Middle East and winning Best Women’s Rights Film at the International Social Change Film fest where she gave her first Live Talkback in Chicago.
Lethabo aims to help spread awareness with her film to help stop the FGM. Not only is Lethabo a filmmaker but she is also a plus-size model where she landed her first commercial feature back in 2018 with Jet Donatella. The brand started a social media campaign to spread body positivity to women of all shapes and sizes and Lethabo continues to involve herself with body positivity campaigns such as the Plus-size community where they support black-owned businesses brands while spreading body positivity through their campaign.
