Laura’s basis for her work as a director is her international upbringing. She has been fluent in 5 languages since childhood, and is working on learning 2 more. She spent the first 17 years of her life in Germany, before moving to the UK, where she obtained a BA in Art History and Film Studies from the University of Sussex and an MA in Text & Performance from RADA. In the last year, she has had shows on at the Tristan Bates Theatre, RADA Festival, the Rosemary Branch Theatre and completed a feature film. Whilst at RADA, she adapted and directed Macbeth and wrote, directed, produced and starred in MEIWES/BRANDES, an experimental musical. Her most recent directing credit is The Enemies, which was part of the Clapham Fringe. Her most recent film credits include Woyzeck (2018) and an upcoming short film (Title tbc, 2019). She is currently in pre-production for two feature films. She has been playing the piano for almost two decades and often uses music as a tool of communication and facilitation in her work. Her experience includes devising, drama, musical, classics, film, adaptation and new writing.
