Laura Albritton has been working as the writer on an as-yet-to-be-released feature-length documentary produced by South Florida Public Television. She just recently directed, wrote, and edited a conservation short film about a threatened species, commissioned by producers from the Georgia Dept of Natural Resources' Wildlife Division and the Longleaf Alliance, with support from The Environmental Resources Network (TERN). Her first documentary, Adventures in History, has been screened at regional film festivals. Laura is also the author of award-winning short stories and five books on regional history and travel. She works remotely for the University of Miami's writing studies program. Before attending graduate school, she worked for Vanguard Documentaries and distinguished Black film producer Charles Hobson in Manhattan.
