Rules & Terms

* To be included in Launch Short Film Festival, short films must be made and submitted by Australian filmmakers.

* Running time for submissions is recommended to be 10 minutes. Please note: if an entry exceeds 10 minutes, it may be disqualified on this basis alone.

* If accepted into Launch Short Film Festival, you will provide a copy of your film as soon as possible. If you do not provide your film by the requested date, this may disqualify your film from being included in the Festival.

* Launch has the right to use all films entered into the Launch Short Film Festival for the screening and advertising of the festival henceforth, whether that be photos, footage or other.

* If Launch is unable to run a live, in-person event due to unforeseen circumstances, you permit us to run your film (wholly or partially) in an online film festival or another live festival, at the discretion of Launch.

* It is the sole responsibility of the filmmakers and their production companies if they breach copyrights for music, photos, scripts, any visual or written material within their films. Launch will not be held responsible.

* By making a submission, you take full responsibility for the film content and all permissions. You agree that you indemnify against and will keep harmless the Launch Short Film Festival and its affiliates, any and all claims arising out of or in relation to any breach of these terms and conditions.

* No disputes will be entered into regarding prizes. The winners are the sole decision of Launch and its affiliates.

    What a fresh new and exciting festival! We were not sure whether to enter or not but we are so glad we did. The team behind the event are easy to deal with and very communicative. The atmosphere is wonderful and the films are a very high standard. This has been a wonderful experience. Thank you all.

    Congratulations to the team at Launch for a wonderufl inaugural event! Although, due to travel restrictions, i was unable to attend, Adapt Enterprises were very helpful and thorough with communication both in the lead up to the event and after. Thank you for awarding my amazing lead with Best Youth Performance. Wishing the team all the best and looking forward to working together again in the future.
