Welcome to the Latino International Film Expo, or as we affectionately call it, “The LIFE.” This year LIFE will take place over consecutive Saturdays in September. The Latino International Film Expo will feature a different exciting lineup on both September 21st and 28th.

Our mission is to create an arena for Latino filmmakers from around the world to showcase their films and be celebrated for their creativity and contribution to the cinematic arts. LIFE also strives to create a space for movies lovers to come and enjoy independent films that are created by and/or featuring Latinos.

Awards & Prizes

There will be jury awards for:

Best Feature Film
Best Short Film
Best Documentary
Best Music Video
Best Performance
Best Ensemble

Rules & Terms

1) We ask that all films be in their final, completed, state and filmmakers have secured the rights to all images and audio associated with their film as we are not responsible for this.

2) If your film is selected for the Latino International Film Expo you will be expected to make your film downloadable either through the FilmFreeway submission page or via Vimeo. Failure to do so will disqualify your film from our event and it will not be shown.

3) We do not accept hard copies of films.

4) Films in any language other than English must have subtitles.

    Greg and his entire team at LIFE have successfully put together a wonderful exposition of films. LIFE strives to capture the spirit of Latin-American culture and the festival put together a wonderful line up of films to do just that. Communication with the festival was excellent! I definitely recommend Latinx filmmakers to submit to the Latino International Film Expo!
