1.- El 17º Festival Internacional de Cine Latino de Uruguay, LatinUy, convoca al Concurso de Cortos y Largos Iberoamericanos, con el objetivo de estimular y difundir la producción de cortos de la región y el continente.
2.- Podrán participar los cortos y largometrajes producidos y realizados en países iberoamericanos, o de habla hispana y portuguesa, aunque tengan producción de otros países fuera del continente, pero el origen del proyecto y su realización debe estar en un país latinoamericano, o España y Portugal. También podrán participar películas de cualquier origen pero que tengan que ver con la temática latinoamericana.
3.- Deberán haber sido realizados a partir del 1 de enero de 2023 y en las siguientes categorías: ficción, documental y animación. La duración máxima aceptada por trabajo será de 15 minutos para cortos y 100 para largos. Los trabajos no podrán haber sido exhibidos en anteriores ediciones del festival y se dará prioridad a aquellos que sean estreno nacional o regional.
4.- Las realizaciones podrán haber sido producidas en cualquier formato fílmico o digital, pero deberán presentarse para su exhibición en los siguientes formatos: Archivo: H264, estéreo, 1920x1080 o similar (MKV, MP4, AVI).
5.- En el caso de trabajos que no sean originalmente en idioma español, deberá venir con subtítulos incrustados en español o acompañados de archivo SRT con el time code para ser traducidos al español (REQUISITO EXCLUYENTE).
6.- El plazo límite para la recepción de los materiales es el 2 de octubre de 2025.
7.- Un jurado internacional de seis miembros discernirá los premios en las diferentes categorías, y su fallo será inapelable.
8.- El festival procurará brindar facilidades para la presencia de los realizadores de los cortos seleccionados durante el festival, pero la aceptación del trabajo no implica otorgar invitación con pasaje y alojamiento, el que deberá correr por cuenta del participante.
9.- La inscripción del film en el festival implica la aceptación tácita de las presentes bases. Cualquier imprevisto no establecido en estas Bases y Reglamentos, o que surja durante el Festival, será interpretado y resuelto única y exclusivamente por el Comité Organizador, y no dará lugar a ningún tipo de reclamo posterior. EL FESTIVAL NO PAGA FEES DE EXHIBICIÓN. Es un evento de carácter netamente cultural y cuenta con ayuda de varios voluntarios.
(PORTUGUESE) 1.- O 17º Festival Internacional de Cinema Latino do Uruguai, LatinUy anuncia a Competição Iberoamericana de Curtas e Longas-Metragens, com o objetivo de estimular e divulgar a produção de curtas-metragens da região e do continente.
2.- Curtas e longas-metragens produzidos e realizados em países ibero-americanos, ou países de língua espanhola e portuguesa, podem participar, mesmo que tenham produção de outros países fora do continente, mas a origem do projeto e sua produção deve estar em um país latino-americano, ou Espanha e Portugal. Filmes de qualquer origem, mas com um tema latino-americano, também podem participar.
3.- Devem ter sido feitos a partir de 1 de janeiro de 2023 e nas seguintes categorias: ficção, documentário e animação. A duração máxima aceita por trabalho será de 15 minutos para curtas-metragens e 100 minutos para longas-metragens. Os trabalhos podem não ter sido exibidos em edições anteriores do festival e será dada prioridade àqueles que forem estréias nacionais ou regionais.
4.- Os filmes podem ter sido produzidos em qualquer filme ou formato digital, mas devem ser apresentados para exibição nos seguintes formatos: Arquivo: H264, estéreo, 1920x1080 ou similar (MKV, MP4, AVI).
5.- No caso de obras que não estejam originalmente em espanhol, devem vir com legendas embutidas em espanhol ou acompanhadas do arquivo SRT com o código de tempo a ser traduzido para o espanhol (EXIGÊNCIA EXCLUSIVA).
6.- O prazo para o recebimento dos materiais é 2 de outubro de 2025.
7.- Um júri internacional de seis membros discernirá os prêmios nas diferentes categorias, e sua decisão será final.
8.- O festival tentará proporcionar facilidades para a presença dos diretores dos curtas-metragens selecionados durante o festival, mas a aceitação do trabalho não implica na concessão de um convite com tarifa aérea e hospedagem, que deve ser pago pelo participante.
9.- A inscrição do filme no festival implica a aceitação tácita destas regras. Qualquer evento imprevisto não estabelecido neste Regulamento, ou que surja durante o Festival, será interpretado e resolvido única e exclusivamente pelo Comitê Organizador, e não dará lugar a qualquer reivindicação subseqüente. O FESTIVAL NÃO PAGA TAXAS DE EXIBIÇÃO. É um evento puramente cultural, com a ajuda de vários voluntários.
(ENGLISH)1.- The 17th International Latin Film Festival of Uruguay, LatinUy announces the Iberoamerican Short and Feature Films Competition, with the aim of stimulating and disseminating the production of short films from the region and the continent.
2.- Shorts and feature films produced and made in Ibero-American countries, or Spanish and Portuguese speaking countries, may participate, even if they have production from other countries outside the continent, but the origin of the project and its realization must be in a Latin American country, or Spain and Portugal. Films of any origin, but with a Latin American theme, may also participate.
3.- They must have been made on or after January 1st, 2023 and in the following categories: fiction, documentary and animation. The maximum length accepted per film will be 15 minutes for short films and 100 minutes for feature films. The works may not have been screened in previous editions of the festival and priority will be given to those that are national or regional premieres.
4.- The films may have been produced in any film or digital format, but must be submitted for exhibition in the following formats: File: H264, stereo, 1920x1080 or similar (MKV, MP4, AVI).
5.- In the case of works that are not originally in Spanish, they must come with embedded subtitles in Spanish or accompanied by SRT file with the time code to be translated into Spanish (EXCLUDING REQUIREMENT).
6.- The deadline for the reception of materials is October 2nd, 2025.
7.- An international jury of six members will discern the awards in the different categories, and its decision will be final.
8.- The festival will try to provide facilities for the presence of the filmmakers of the selected short films during the festival, but the acceptance of the work does not imply the granting of an invitation with airfare and lodging, which must be paid by the participant.
9.- The inscription of the film in the festival implies the tacit acceptance of these rules. Any unforeseen event not established in these Rules and Regulations, or arising during the Festival, will be interpreted and resolved solely and exclusively by the Organizing Committee, and will not give rise to any subsequent claim. THE FESTIVAL DOES NOT PAY EXHIBITION FEES. It is a purely cultural event and counts with the help of several volunteers.
