Nathan and Nick Lacey are two brothers originally from Wexford, Ireland that currently reside in Sydney, Australia. Both brothers work full time in the entertainment industries in both television and feature film production across Australia. With both having a strong passion for story and being natural born storytellers themselves, Nathan and Nick both followed their passions and moved to Sydney to create content and bring stories to life on screen.
Nathan currently works on major commercial feature films hosted by major streaming services internationally as a supervising VFX editor and oversees a slate of productions in his editorial role. Nick is a producer, post producer and camera operator working predominantly documentaries, commercials and unscripted content for broadcast across Australia and for streaming internationally. Both have deep combined experience of all facets of development, production and post production as well as a raw and innovative methodology of producing content. This is drawn from their shared time and experience working across all kinds of content in their professional lives and their independent personal life experiences.
When not working on their own individual professional pursuits, Nathan and Nick form a Directing/Producing partnership and bring to life their own stories developed and constructed in Sydney. These independent projects form the cornerstone of their passion for screen and story and their work as well as them as a partnership has received recognition as up and coming artists working within the Sydney space. With an established core crew and an archive of their own scripted ideas ready for development as well as the ability to develop, produce and deliver commercials, films and documentaries from other writers the brothers are continuing to spearhead projects across Australia and beyond.
Nathan and Nick's unique style and vision is steeped in their own personal experiences and perspective from a unique combination of culture, lifestyles and experiences they both have lived. Both brothers feel strongly about remaining close to the cultural current and developing stories that are impactful, relevant and incorporate themes or perspectives fitting to current times. The brothers seek to incorporate realism within their work and retain a sense of naturalness to the scenes they create. They frequently collaborate with domestic and international artists and music producers to find the best soundtrack for their work, always seeking to push the boundaries creatively and find the most suitable collaborators to best tell the story they are bringing to life. Nathan and Nick are firm on their belief of having representations from individual cultures within their work of all races, creeds and backgrounds on and off the screen and drawing inspiration from all of life's wonderful cultural backdrops.
Together they wish to continue focusing on their work together and the production of stories for screen both now and into the future.
