Awards and Prizes Generally
Each applicant agrees to abide by all decisions made by LSPG in connection with the program, which are final and binding in all respects. If LSPG selects your project for potential co-production, post-production, distribution, or other opportunities, then LSPG shall provide the award(s) and/or prize(s) to you that correspond to your placement amongst the other participants in the program for the applicable window. Additional feedback may be provided by LSPG in their sole discretion.
How to Apply
To apply, you must complete and submit the online application available at filmfreeway.com/LSPGWrapLine or another LSPG-approved portal. Prior to submitting the application, you must read and agree to the submission release agreement.
All materials you submit must be:
in the English language or include English subtitles or translations; and
in industry-standard formats (e.g., MP4 for trailers, PDF for pitch decks or budgets) or in such other formats requested by LSPG.
Please do not submit physical materials. Unsolicited materials will not be returned.
If you have more than one project you wish to submit, please complete a separate application (including, without limitation, a separate submission release agreement) for each project.
Each applicant that completes and submits an application in compliance with LSPG’s requirements will receive a 10% discount on certain DCP services from dcpforall.com.
No revisions will be accepted after submission unless explicitly permitted by LSPG. LSPG reserves the right in its sole discretion to disqualify and/or not accept any submission that LSPG determines does not or is likely not to comply with these guidelines, and/or to make such changes to any submission as are necessary to make it compliant, or to require the applicant to do so in order to proceed with the application and program.
LSPG may request additional information or materials from you in order to provide any proposal. In the event you fail to provide such information or materials, LSPG may be unable to provide said co-production and/or distribution proposal, as applicable.
You affirm that your participation in the program will comply with all applicable laws and LSPG’s internal policies.
SELECTION PROCESS
LSPG will review and evaluate submissions based on the following criteria:
Budget Efficiency and Feasibility
Is the project’s budget realistic?
Are resources allocated efficiently?
Does the applicant actually need LSPG’s support to complete the project?
Storytelling and Structure
Does the film follow a coherent narrative arc?
Is the story engaging?
Do the plotlines find a dramatic or thematic resolution?
If the project is a documentary, are all of the questions posed at the beginning of the film answered by the end of the film?
Artistic Vision and Directorial Voice
Is the director’s vision clear throughout the film?
Is the film’s tone consistent?
Is the project technically sound?
Are the materials (including footage and sound), even if still unedited, of professional quality or do they resemble those of an amateur?
Market Potential / Audience Appeal & Cultural and Social Relevance
Does the film have a marketing or distribution strategy?
Does the film have a clear appeal, which may be to broad audiences or perhaps to niche, but highly engaged, audiences?
Is the film discussing themes or issues that are relevant to today?
Post-Production Readiness
Is the film in post-production or about to start post-production?
Is the film still in production? If so, how many more weeks of production are scheduled?
What may a Co-Production Proposal include?
The elements of post-production that LSPG will handle, including the value of those post-production services and any savings LSPG can provide
A grant of rights in the project to LSPG proportionate to the savings provided by LSPG in relation to the project’s budget
LSPG executive producer credits
For clarity, any co-production or distribution proposal the you and LSPG elect to move forward with, in their sole respective discretion, shall be subject to a separate written agreement incorporating the terms herein and other industry standard terms to be negotiated in good faith.
MISCELLANEOUS
LSPG may publicly reference the title, poster, and stills provided by you in promotional materials for the program, unless you opt out in writing.
Submission data will be retained for internal auditing, verification, and follow-up.
By submitting, you agree to receive communications related to LSPG WrapLine and related LSPG opportunities. You may opt out at any time in writing.
LSPG is not responsible for lost, late, incomplete, or misdirected submissions, or for technical or human errors or failures of any kind in connection with the transmission, processing, or evaluation of submissions, including, without limitation, any malfunction or failure of computer hardware, computer software, or networks, or any other technical problems or traffic congestion on the internet or at any website or any combination thereof.
LSPG reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to disqualify any applicant who violates these guidelines or any agreement with LSPG, tampers with the application process, or acts in any manner that would, in any way, discredit or harm the reputation of LSPG or others.
From time to time, LSPG may elect to modify, add, or remove portions of these guidelines and will post the amended guidelines here. The amended guidelines will be effective automatically when posted.
