London Movie Festival

All submitted films will be juried by LMF professional team who are working in the movie industry. All selected films will be judged according to competition categories. None of films will be compared with each other.

The aim of LMF is all about art - cultural and technical aspect of movies and promoting different ethnic minority cultures in London. LMF aims to create opportunities and / or give support to film makers for networking, funding, to unlock the potential of artist.

Awards & Prizes

All films will be seen by professional judges, specialist in film making. There are 3 stages of LMF. these 3 stages refers to 1. analysing in terms of film making theory and practice 2. awarding 3. screening.

Briefly this means ;
- All selected films will be seen more than once by the members of jury, who are specialised in different categories of film making ; music - sound, camera, story - script, acting, directing, costume, make ups, art and creativity.

- Some of selected films would be awarded,

- awarded films would be screening on the LMF,

Naturally, notification will be emailed to all winners in advance.

Beside film competition, as another main activity of LMF, there would be movies that could be shown at the festival which will be explained on the LMF websites in details by the near time of festival dates

Moreover, awards for the winners will be trophy in all categories. Total awards are as follows ; best films / best actor / best actress / best director / best documentary

the argument of LMF, for awarding, is as follows ;

- the main thing is movie making categories practice, artistic approach and artistic creativity during film making.

- because every artist is making different films, not the same film, so that it is not fair to compare them with each other.

- every artist has different circumstances - external impacts during film making
therefore there should not be judgements on the basis of comparing one to another

Furthermore, there will be panels in relation to movie industry.

All awarded films are planned to be on show 7 Friday / 8 Saturday / 9 Sunday November 2025, afternoon times.

Rules & Terms

Regarding to LMF rules,

In general, any person should have good - constructive manner, be respectful, peaceful, enjoy the day during the LMF

1. any film submissions should be made digitally, not via DVD’s in the post. If one is unable to do digital submission, please contact LMF to work something out.

2. Any picture, poster, film, videos, related materials provided must be clearly identified. It may be used for festival activities at the present time and in the future, only for LMF activities and also some of materials ; such as poster.

3. Any film which have been broadcast on any platform prior to LMF are allowed eligible for competition.

4. Any non - English language films, joining competition, must have English subtitles

5. All film submitting to LMF competition must certify that they have been given full rights to use any thing for their films - production, all sound tracks - music in the films.

6. Film Producers are responsible for insurance & shipment costs of films materials to LMF.

7. The title of the work and name of entrant, contact details should be provided, must be on all mailing and also in order to be considered for LMF competition fees must be paid full

8. Any selected film entries will be notified as soon as possible. but Jury Award winners will be announced at the closing night.

9. Film Makers who are accepted to join LMF competition, and whoever attending the festival are responsible for travel, lodging, and all other expenses. However filmmakers accepted into LMF competition will have festival passes to see all the festival films FREE

10. Film prints and other film material will be handled with utmost care. However neither the LMF staff nor supporting theatre organisations staff can assume responsibility for damage or loss of the print and other film materials, an route or otherwise, during the course of the festival preparation - festival days .

12. All given information, eligibility, guidelines, terms and conditions of entry are subject to change by the London Movie Festival.

    good days thank you for your reviews, judge liked your movie but in terms of short film criteria, it was not awarded, it was commented that movie should have some more details, because of story. fundamentally nice - touching story, it requires more filming to make a proper judgement in terms of short film categories requirements. it is beleieved that next time it will be more successfull.
