18th LICHTER FILMFEST FRANKFURT INTERNATIONAL
The LICHTER ART AWARD, now in its 15th edition, was established in 2011. It is an international competition with a curated exhibition. Its goal is to present the most recent and multifaceted artistic film and video art works from the contemporary visual arts. The past winners of the LICHTER ART AWARD were in 2011, Luciana Lamothe (Argentina) / 2012, Oliver Husain (Canada) / 2013, John Skoog (Sweden) / 2014, Bertrand Flanet (France), / 2915, Jonathan Van Essche (Belgium) / 2016, James N. Kienitz Wilkins (USA), 2017, Tobi Sauer (Germany) / 2018, Jakob Engel (Germany) / 2019, Andrew de Freitas (Canada / Brazil) / 2011, Florencia Levy (Argentina) / 2021, the collective Frankfurter Hauptschule (Germany) Frankfurter Hauptschule (Germany, 2021) Alice Brygo (France 2022), Eunhee Lee (South Korea, 2023) and in 2024 Vanessa Nica Mueller (Germany).
The LICHTER ART AWARD 2025 winner will be announced on the occasion of the closing ceremony of the festival on the 27 of April 2025.
15th LICHTER ART AWARD
The LICHTER FILMFEST FRANKFURT INTERNATIONAL is pleased to call again for submissions of audiovisual works of all genres. An international jury will nominate five artists/filmmakers whose works will be exhibited during the LICHTER Filmfest in 2025 in the festival exhibition space. The winner will be honorer with the LICHTER Art Award, a prize endowed with 1,000 Euro.
