A punk film is an indie spirited film that is uncensored with raw human interaction and edges, a full spectrum of human life, sometimes with a humor or a heartfelt or political or environmental or humane cause.

Punk and alternative films are on the increase in the mainstream as well as punk icons who are producing TV and Films about the punk genre. It's all about music and unity.

Awards & Prizes

Prizes are awarded in all the major categories (best picture, director, cinematographer, screenwriter, actors etc.), divided by genre: narrative feature, documentary feature, and shorts and music videos. This year we are including screenplay contest with Q and A's from the writers. Award ceremony, red carpet event.

Rules & Terms

Feature-length and short, narrative and documentary as well as TV episodic programming include pilots and streaming web series.

Filmmakers please submit film when it is finished, and make sure it is downloadable from Film Freeway itself, no links will be accepted. We really appreciate clear communication so please provide details, email and phone so we can get your film in the festival.

Filmmakers, please submit your film when it is fully finished as each submission will be a completed work, we will not update the submission with a more recent cut. A high definition between 5-20GBs will usually be sufficient unless we require a DCP on a certain year of the festival . Thanks in advance.

Entering your film into the festival does not guarantee acceptance or an award. Fees are nonrefundable and we reserve the right to change our programming without notice.

    Great time, we're very proud to have won Best Satire and 2nd place for Best Film with out comedy short 'Couple Goals'. Sadly being in the UK we couldn't make it in person, but Sandie was communicative and enthusiastic throughout, and enabled us to attend virtually on awards night. Recommended!
