Kuukua Eshun is a Ghanaian-American creative who splits her time between Ohio and her home Accra. Inspired by emotions and femininity, Kuukua raises awareness about social issues and mental health through her writing and film. As a woman who believes in changing the narrative and letting her voice be heard, she’s spoken at the Ohio State University, the University of Cincinnati, Ghana international school, re:publica Accra and many other platforms.
Her writing has been published in the ECA literary Magazine, Ghana web and many more.
Her short films have been showcased at Re:Publica Accra, Benpaali film festival and Right to dream soccer academy Akosombo, as well as her own solo film premiere in Jamestown Accra, December 2018.
She is also the co-founder of boxed kids, an organization prioritizes in the ultimate purpose in providing an education to the youth of Jamestown, Ghana. Boxedkids has caught the attention of platform like Skoll world forum, Embassy of Netherlands, Suitcase Mag, Nataal, Ignant, etc..
Her recent movement called Skate Gal Club is the first all-female skate crew in Ghana. Alongside with her partner Sandy Alibo as we have seen on vogue magazine, yahoo news, konbini and many others.
