Kristina Tokar (b. South Florida, 1998) is an emerging interdisciplinary visual artist working primarily with moving images. She enjoys staring into the sun and prefers life scrambled, seaside up. Influenced by theater, psychology, and music videos. Her art practice investigates the ritual of meaning making through the lens of absurdity. She specialises in mixed live action animation. A visually expressive, layering technique used to convey altered states of consciousness which speaks to the collective desire for a reality as vivid as the imagination. Each work evokes a spiritual, thought provoking experience.
