● Originally from a small town Baharagora in the state of Jharkhand, India, Konark is based out of the San Francisco Bay Area at present and has performed in various solo concerts in the United States and has also performed as an accompanying artist in many classical / semi-classical concerts.
● Konark came up with his first Musical release "Ghar Jaana Hai : The Stories Untold" in 2017. It is an issue based Musical Video project that deals with Drought and Migration of families. Drought / Water Scarcity is one of the most common natural calamities in the world today and in many places it has happened due to Climate Change. This video tries to touch a very sensitive aspect of human emotion that usually is ignored in these circumstances: LOVE. Love is the foundation of human relationships and is a need that each one of us has in various ways. For a couple going through a natural disaster, Love / Emotions / Physical intimacy become a secondary aspect of life and the struggle to get the basic amenities for survival becomes the primary objective. But, these desires still remain strong in them and they fight hard (mostly with themselves) to express them. This Video aims at showcasing this aspect of human emotion and relationship.
● The Music Video has been honored with 20 OFFICIAL SELECTIONS so far across Film Festivals in the world (In INDIA, USA, AUSTRALIA, POLAND, TAIWAN and ISRAEL) and has been an AWARD WINNER in 6 occasions.
● Being born and brought up in the eastern part of India, Konark grew up seeing the devastation caused by various natural calamities, most of which are man made due to climate change. His inner voice, his true feelings towards the situation faced by folks in the region where he grew up & the genre and culture of Music that he has inherited from his teachers, has been translated into a moving story of human emotions in the music video "Ghar Jaana Hai : The Stories Untold".
● At present Konark is working on his upcoming Musical project "Haulsa Na Ruthe : The Stories Untold" depicting the courageous fightback of a group of women from the Village of Gundalba, Odisha, India who lost everything in 1999 Odisha Super Cyclone.
