Submit your 5-20 page script to Kinolime’s inaugural Short-Film Competition for a chance to win a $7,500 production grant with an additional $500 for Film Festival submissions. Kinolime’s team will also provide hands-on support to help you make your Short-Film a reality. No entry fees. No gatekeepers. Kinolime members will vote to determine which screenplay is declared the winner!

HOW IT WORKS:
1.⁠ ⁠SUBMIT YOUR SHORT SCRIPT - Submit your complete screenplay and 5-20 story page treatment on our website's competition page. No fee required. (https://www.kinolime.com/competition)
2.⁠ ⁠KINOLIME SELECTS THE TOP 26 SHORT SCRIPTS - Our development team reads every submission and determines the top 26 to move on to the next round.
3.⁠ ⁠AUDIENCE VOTING - You, the audience, read the story treatments of the Top 26 and vote on your favorites to advance to the TOP 10.
4.⁠ ⁠JUDGES PANEL SELECTION - Kinolime's development team reviews the TOP 10 short scripts and select 3 finalists.
5.⁠ ⁠AUDIENCE DECIDES THE WINNING SHORT SCRIPT - From the final 3 short scripts, YOU, the audience, read and vote on which screenplay Kinolime will option and produce into a film.
6.⁠ ⁠GREENLIGHT! - The winning short scripts is optioned and begins its journey from script to screen.

Eligibility & Rules
1.⁠ ⁠Free to enter — no submission fees
2.⁠ ⁠Must be 18 years or older to submit
3.⁠ ⁠Up to 3 submissions allowed per person
4.⁠ ⁠Narrative fiction only (no documentaries or experimental films)
5.⁠ ⁠Screenplays must be between 5 and 20 pages
6.⁠ ⁠All languages welcome, but screenplays must include English subtitles
7.⁠ ⁠Any use of AI or large language models must be disclosed. Scripts found to contain more than 25% AI-generated material may be flagged for additional review and risk disqualification.
