Submissions are open to anyone. All genres accepted.

Our preference is for films under 10 minutes, so this will up your chances of being selected, but we do accept films up to 25 minutes.

No premiere status is required, and being featured doesn’t infringe on your ability to post your film anywhere else you want. You retain all legal ownership of your film. You’re simply allowing us to showcase your brilliance!

Please note that this is separate to our BIFA qualifying Kino London Short Film Festival which runs in London cinema's annually. Our Weekly Pick program is designed to help distribute your film when you're done with the festival circuit.

A curated Top 10 List overall for the year is published every December.

We accept short films up to 25 minutes in length, however our preference is for films under 10 minutes, so that will up your chance of being selected.

We accept all genres and strive for a diverse showcase including drama, comedy, horror, documentary, animation, sci-fi, action, music, dance and more.

By submitting, you declare that you have understood and agreed to the following:

1. You are at least 18 years of age.
2. All films selected must be under 25 minutes.
3. Films depicting real-life illegal or exploitive acts will be rejected.
4. All films, not in the English language, are required to have subtitles.
5. Films must have completed post-production after January 2018.
6. By submitting your film, you confirm you own the rights to distribute and showcase the film.
7. Kino Short Film will not be held responsible for any copyright issues or infringements.
8. All filmmakers will retain legal ownership of their own film, and by being showcases filmmakers grant Kino Short Film limited time distribution.
9. By submitting your film you acknowledge that Kino Short Film reserves the right to promote your film on our website and social media, including linking back to you the link you provided and/or uploading the film natively to any of our social media platforms including, but not limited to, Instagram, Vimeo, YouTube, etc.
8. Submitting your film does not guarantee that it will be showcased. Kino Short Film reserves the right to make the final decision on whether or not to screen any particular film.
9. The Kino London Weekly Pick program is intended to benefit indie short filmmakers by giving them and their project exposure. No monetary compensation will be given to filmmakers selected as part of this program.
10. Kino Short Film has the right to make decisions about matters not provided by these rules.
11. Rules and terms and conditions are subject to change at the discretion of Kino Short Film.
