Maximillian King grew up in East Anglia and is of Greek Cypriot desecent. King is grounded by his training in theatre, acting and literature, and utilizes his professional experience within the performing arts and production companies to create films. He is fascinated by comedy, pathos, loneliness and surrealism.
King is a trained actor from Drama Centre London (2017) with screen credits including Bachelor (2016) and Adrift (2021). In film post-production, he worked closely with Jonathan Glazer on The Fall (2019) and Francis Lee on Ammonite (2020), and was part of the visual effects team on Knives Out (2019). Working closely with directors on such detail-oriented processes proved invaluable and continues to shape his approach to filmmaking. His television experience includes production assistant and runner positions on Don’t Look Down SU2C (C4), Cooking with the Stars (ITV), and Inside M&S (C4).
