Kinematora is an exciting new film festival that debuted in the summer of 2024, bringing a fresh and inclusive perspective to the film industry. With a strong focus on diversity and accessibility, Kinematora aims to create a welcoming environment that opens doors for emerging filmmakers and celebrates creative talent from around the world.
Based in Växjö, Sweden, the festival is proudly partnered with two non-profit organizations: Öppna Kanalen Kronoberg and Globala Kronoberg, both affiliated with the European Solidarity Corps (ESC). The festival is entirely operated by international ESC volunteers, embodying its commitment to community and cultural exchange.

Partner Organizations:
Öppna Kanalen Kronoberg (ÖKK) is a non-profit, open-channel TV station dedicated to promoting freedom of expression. Their mission is to ensure that every voice is heard while offering employment and job training opportunities for individuals who face barriers in the labor market, including the long-term unemployed.
Globala Kronoberg is an international center for youth, working primarily with ERASMUS+ and the European Solidarity Corps. Their goal is to provide mobility opportunities for young people, youth workers, and organizations, promoting cultural diversity and encouraging participation in international programs.
Through its partnerships and international volunteer network, Kinematora is creating a global platform for filmmakers while making TV broadcasts and events accessible to all, helping foster an inclusive film community in Växjö, Sweden.

A: The $5 fee is a symbolic sum to cover the expenses of the festival and avoid spam submissions.

A: If you are living in or near Växjö, Sweden we will welcome you with open arms.
Q: Does the film festival have an entrance fee?
A: No. The Kinematora Film Festival is free for everyone who wishes to attend. Food and drinks will also be provided.
Kinematora has two award categories:
1. Live Action

One winner will be selected from each category. The winners will receive:
- A feature on both Öppna Kanalen Kronoberg and Globala Kronoberg channels.
- An Official Statement in print from the jury.
- The official Kinematora Film Festival Physical Trophy.
