Kiersten Houser is a versatile filmmaker and educator with a deep love for creating films across a range of genres. A graduate of UNCW’s Filmmaking MFA program, she excels in crafting character-driven stories that often balance entertainment with a societal call-to-action. Her accomplishments include awards for “Best Suspense Film,” and “Best Experimental Film,” as well as the PBS NC 2022 “Reel South Award,” which recognizes exceptional North Carolina documentary filmmakers. Outside her creative work, Kiersten is a dedicated professor, sharing her passion for film with her college students and her son, Boone.
