Kiersten Houser is a former English and Drama teacher from Cherryville, NC. At Appalachian State University she obtained her degree in Education and minored in her passion of Film Studies. This led to her rebuilding of the Drama program in the public high school where she worked, teaching students how to write screenplays and produce/direct films and on-stage productions, many of which were written by the students and herself (In "Plane" Sight and The Iron Film Awards series). She’s an actress and award-winning poet (“For Them”). As an MFA candidate and TA at the University of North Carolina Wilmington, she hopes to become a college professor. In the meantime, she continues her work in portraying flawed characters and unique stories as a multi-modal director.
