Kevin Nibley has had a long and distinguished career as a producer and editor across all genres of non-fiction, highlighted by stints on critically-acclaimed cable hits such as “Deadliest Catch,” “VICE on HBO” and a national Emmy-nomination.
His first work of fiction as a writer-director, “Bert Prentice, CEO,” premiered at the 2004 Boston Film Festival, and had a successful multi-year festival run before ultimately being purchased by Asahi Beer.
His follow-up, “Welcome to America, Brian Wong!” completed principal photography in 2005, but was ultimately abandoned due to funding issues. Its original footage was literally found in a closet 20 years later, post-production was resumed, and the film is currently touring the festival circuit, having won multiple awards for BEST COMEDY and BEST SHORT FILM.
The experience of revitalizing "Brian Wong" has led Kevin to resume his writing/directing career, and he is currently in pre-production on his next film: a nihilistic horror romp satirizing influencer culture.
