Kelley Lord is a storyteller drawn to the space where comedy meets catharsis. An Emmy Award–winning producer and SAG-AFTRA actor, her work explores themes of female friendship, resilience, and self-rescue through a lens that is playful, heartfelt, and unafraid of vulnerability.
Her most recent short, A Little Jaded, follows a woman who stumbles into a yoga class and spends the day with her inner child—a story inspired by Kelley’s own healing journey. She is currently developing The Black Sheep Goes Home for Christmas, a holiday drama infused with magical realism, the horror/sci-fi anthology 10 Ways to Fck Up the Future*, and the comedy series Travel Vloggers.
Kelley’s screen credits include HBO’s Succession, FX’s Bae or Bail, Investigation Discovery’s Evil Lives Here, BET Digital’s Two Grown, and independent films such as Gerdaq, Fault, and Verdict Guilty.
What sets her apart is her decade of experience behind the camera at NBC, ESPN, CBS, NPR, PBS, and iHeartMedia—giving her a producer’s eye for story mechanics and a deep respect for collaboration. Now based in Utah after years in NYC, she brings that dual perspective into her independent films, crafting stories that are intimate, imaginative, and emotionally alive.
When she isn’t on set, Kelley curates arts and wellness programming that nurtures creativity and play—two forces that continue to shape her voice as a filmmaker.
