Katrine Eichberger is an Austrian actor and filmmaker. She graduated from the University of Vienna with a master’s degree in art history but never pursued that field in favor of her acting career and her passion for making movies. She starred in a series of arthouse and short films, some of them made by first-time filmmakers in Vienna, before deciding to move to Berlin. In 2019, Katrine played the title role in „Edda Tudor“, for which she won „Best Actress” at the Los Angeles Film Awards and was nominated at the London International Festival.
Confronted with an industry that mostly lacked complex female characters, she started writing herself, reasoning that the best way to get decent parts was to write and produce them herself. One big step in this direction was the feature film „The Color of the Chameleon“, which she co-produced and starred in.
She wrote and directed her short film „The Origin“ (2022) and has also co-written several other short films. Together with her partner Nikolas Mühe, she co-wrote, co-directed, and co-produced her independent debut feature „Draußen die Welt“ („The World Outside“). In the process, they founded the Berlin-based production company Telling Stories Productions, which continues to develop new projects — features and series — including the feature „Under Endless Skies“, recently selected for TorinoFilmLab TFL – Next Feature 2026.
She’s always looking for like-minded partners to keep growing, thriving, and creating together.
