Katherine Sainte-Marie is a writer and director of historical fiction, fantasy, and horror. She has worked extensively on adaptions of fairy tales and fables often interweaving these tales with social issues such as self-harm, addiction, and mental illness. Her most recent horror film was nominated for a Wes Craven Award at the Catalina Film Festival. She previously won Showtime's Tony Cox Screenplay award for a gothic horror script. Her work has been featured in over 60 film festivals across 10 countries including: Sonoma International, Nantucket Film Festival, Nashville Film Festival, Horrible Imaginings, FilmQuest, and Canada's Terror in the Bay.
