Born in Seattle and raised in Southeast Asia, I am an independent writer and director. My first feature film, "Knots: A Forced Marriage Story” is an award-winning documentary about forced and child marriage in the U.S. It's also the subject of my TEDx Talk.

I'm also a published author, short story writer, and essayist, and have collaborated on several art and media projects. I graduated from the Florida State University film school, and have lived and worked around the world. A dual UK/US citizen, I'm currently based in the UK and Europe.
