Kasper Kavalaris is an award-winning writer-director, illustrator, and classically trained painter whose screenplays have placed highly on The Black List, Shore Scripts, and other top competitions. His work blends mythic undertones with psychological depth, often exploring obsession, identity, and power through a cinematic lens.
Kavalaris’ background in fine art and storyboarding informs his highly visual writing style (dense with atmosphere, symbolism, and meticulously constructed worlds). His latest project, CLOUT, is a hyper-stylized short film set in the near future, currently being submitted to major festivals.
For years, Kasper Kavalaris operated an independent preproduction studio focused on early-stage development for original IP. In 2024, he expanded this vision by acquiring Film Creations Ltd., a historic Tucson production company best known for its involvement in films such as The Three Amigos.
He is now merging both companies into a single vertically integrated film studio, one designed not only to produce high-concept cinema but to revitalize the regional filmmaking ecosystem. Through this hybrid model, Kavalaris is working to turn Tucson back into a film town (one that empowers independent voices, trains local talent, and brings long-term cultural infrastructure back to Southern Arizona).
Inspired by auteurs like Lynch, Miyazaki, Nolan, Carpenter, and Soderbergh, Kavalaris creates bold, original films that aim not to fill content pipelines but to reshape culture.
