Kaş International Film Festival welcomes filmmakers and film lovers for the fourth time to the picturesque Mediterranean town of Türkiye, Kaş. Looking over the endless turquoise Mediterranean Sea, an immersion of culture, art, and nature meets with carefully selected short films in the laid-back atmosphere of Kaş.

Supported by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of Türkiye, Türkiye Tourism Promotion and Development Agency, the Municipality of Kaş as well as Mey|Diageo, our fourth edition will take place in June 2025, followed by Q&A sessions with the finalists, and the award ceremony at the impressive 2000-year-old ancient theater with the backdrop of the Greek island Kastellorizo. A good variety of workshops, moderated panels, and screenings will be available for everyone and free to join. Kaş has always been an attractive location for filmmakers and artists throughout history, therefore with an international art event, we are looking forward to boosting Kaş’s already established art scene with great opportunities to mingle and network with international contacts.

Followed by Kaş, selected finalist films will be screened at the extraordinary movie theatre of Kadıköy Sineması. Everyone is invited and the entrance will be free, as always.

We accept submissions from all around the world, and we especially encourage underwater films to submit for the special underwater film category. Kaş is famous for its bustling and pristine underwater life, just as the fascinating wrecks. There's a great interest and awareness for underwater life in this charming town, so it is the right place to promote your underwater productions whether it's fiction or documentary.

If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact us anytime, and our team will respond to you shortly.

Our judging panel consists of a pre-jury and the main jury; who are all sector professionals coming from every field of the film industry: Academy members, directors, producers, academicians, actors, screenwriters, documentarists, and so on.

All the finalists will be invited to Kaş and offered a 4-night stay with breakfast included. There will be an exclusive dinner with the other filmmakers and jury members. Q&A sessions will be held with the attending filmmakers at the event. More awards and events are TBA in April and May 2025.

Communication with the festival has always been fast and effective. Unfortunately, the filmmakers of our films couldn't travel, but we appreciated the 4-night accommodation offered. A fast-growing festival in a nice location with a quality program.

Great team, wonderful location and qualified selection!
Even though it was a young festival; the organization, facilities, events and hospitality were great.
The most magical thing for me was watching my film in the 2000 year old ancient theater with a lot of audience.
The Q&A which had been done with a moderator who had done her homework by watching and analysing all the films carefully, was an indication of how seriously they took their work.
Also, the jury members were professionals in their fields.
Don't hesitate to join this experience!

Kaş International Short Film Festival was an incredible experience in every aspect. It’s a festival where art, history, and nature come together.

I was thrilled to be part of a carefully curated selection. But the most exciting part was having the opportunity to screen my film in a breathtaking atmosphere within a 2000-year-old ancient theater under the starry night!

I would like to thank the festival team once again for their exceptional hospitality from the very first moment to the end of the festival. Despite its young age, Kaş International Short Film Festival is one of the most professional festivals I’ve attended!

Kaş International Short Film Festival was an unforgettable experience marked by professionalism, warmth, and a genuine love for cinema. Despite its young age, the festival was impressively organized, with seamless communication from a dedicated crew. The presence of Academy Award-winning jury members added prestige, and the events were executed with precision and care.

One of the standout elements was the breathtaking venue, the screenings were held in an antique theater, offering a unique atmosphere to watch films from all over the world. The curation of the films was impeccable, showcasing a diverse selection of works that sparked meaningful conversations and fostered lasting friendships among the participants.

It was an honor to be part of such a remarkable festival, and I look forward to seeing how it continues to grow.
