Karina Cruz A Dominican, I have a great love for cinema, in the Dominican Republic there was no cinema culture so I studied a degree in Marketing at the UASD state university, postgraduate and master's degree. I decided to return to what I am passionate about because of what I have in the technical area in Scriptwriting, Production and Directing in audiovisual media INFOTEP, ALTOS DE CHAVÓN, DGCINE. I submitted for Cannes 2021 and was selected by First-Time Filmmaker Online Sessions and CINEMA OF NACIONES through FilmFreeway.com. Winner of the 2018 FONPROCINE annual public competition, Short Film Production Category: Juego Libre is in production. I have in the development pipeline: Francisca, Quintero and her Courier Love, a fiction feature film and two projects in development as a documentary: The Santo Domingo Metro Accident and the Río canal massacre in Haiti. I have been part of various productions, both feature films and short films, both in cast and crew. I have been a Script doctor on several projects that are in development.
