Kaan Atilla Taskin, born in 1988, Trabzon, Turkey. He graduated from Istanbul University, Radio, Cinema and Television Department in 2011. He took acting training at the Plato Film School by Ayla Algan.
And then, he worked as an assistant director of several films. He took ‘Film Directing Training' for 8 months in 2013 at Istanbul Cinema Center established within the body of Istanbul Design Center.
He shot his first short film, called 'Bilyali' in Trabzon with his family, and then he made other short films; 'Where is my teacher?' and “Cuckoo.”
His short films were shown at several festivals in Turkey and abroad. He completed his first feature-length film called “Beyond the Clouds” and short film called “The Sense” in 2017. He received several awards with his feature-length film, 'Beyond the Clouds' from the festivals in Turkey. Additionally his short film, “The Sense” also brought him many awards from the festivals arranged in foreign countries.
Finally, he completed his documentary film named “Self-Sacrificing Grandmothers Of Black Sea” in 2018 with the support of Turkish Republic, Ministry of Culture and Tourism.
